There are obvious differences between inductive sensors and magnetoelectric sensors. They are based on different principles and working methods.

Characteristics of inductive sensors:
1. Utilize the principle of electromagnetic induction.
2. Simple structure, high reliability and long life.
3. It has high sensitivity and resolution and can measure small displacement changes.
4. Good linearity, good repeatability, and small nonlinear error.
5. Able to measure within a wide range, but the resolution may decrease as the measurement range increases.
6. There is a zero point output voltage, so attention needs to be paid to avoid measurement errors.
7. The frequency and amplitude requirements of the excitation power supply are relatively high and are not suitable for high-frequency dynamic measurements.

Characteristics of magnetoelectric sensors:
1. Use magnetoelectricity to convert the measured mechanical quantity into an electrical signal.
2. A permanent magnet is required as a magnetic source with certain movable contacts.
3. It can convert mechanical quantities into electrical signals that are easy to measure and is an active sensor.
4. It is significantly different from inductive sensors in shape and principle.

Inductive sensors are mainly used for displacement measurement and the measurement of conversion of mechanical quantities (such as force, tension, pressure, pressure difference, acceleration, vibration, strain, flow, thickness, liquid level, specific gravity, torque, etc.) into displacement changes. Common inductive sensors include variable gap type, variable area type and solenoid iron type.

Magnetoelectric sensors convert the measured mechanical quantity into an electrical signal through magnetoelectricity, usually requiring a permanent magnet as a magnetic source. Their working principle and application are completely different from inductive sensors.

In short, there are obvious differences between inductive sensors and magnetoelectric sensors in terms of principle, structure and application. It is necessary to choose the appropriate sensor type according to specific measurement requirements. Both sensors have a wide range of applications in different fields and have their own advantages and characteristics.
